Hi, I'm Nick Erickson

I’m a triple threat sound designer, able to design content, sound systems and write/edit music. 

I was born in Oregon & raised in northern California. I'm currently based in Florida, about as far from where I was born as I can get in the continental United States.

I got my BA in design for theater from Lewis & Clark College in 2013, and then in 2018, I went and got my MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in sound design for theater.

I’ve lived in theater for most of my career but have many other projects under my belt: an art installation, a radio play, a film music score, some video game sound and more.

My sense of sound and touch are deeply intertwined.  Sound and music look like moving sculptures to me.  Almost everything makes noise if it's interacted with, even the whisper of your fingertips on a stone. So to me, sound can communicate to an audience the weight and texture of a world they cannot touch.
